Not gonna lie, I LOVE Peanut Butter! It’s versatile, tasty, and makes me feel like a little kid again! So I flipped when I found Better n’ Peanut Butter. It’s just as good as peanut butter, but…well…better.
If you check out the nutrition facts, below, you can see just how good Better n Peanut Butter is for you, with about half the calories of regular peanut butter, and only 2g (vs. 16g) grams of fat a serving. You’d also think they would compensate for the low-er fat with more sugar, or weird sugar substitutes, but that’s not the case either! Another reason why I love it.
As far as taste and texture compared to normal Peanut Butter, my first qualm is that it’s a little stickier, and there for just a teeny bit harder to scoop out a Tablespoon (it just kind of holds on like a weak taffy or something.) But it’s still really easy to spread. My second qualm? Has to be refrigerated after it’s opened. But so do a lot of things. So 2 tiny qualms? Whatever! Totally worth it.
It also tastes a little sweeter than peanut butter, I guess, but it’s not too-sweet, and you definitely get used to it fast. It tastes good!
I also just love that you can get more—for less. Basically, instead of having to put one Tablespoon of peanut butter on my 5 crackers, I can load up on 2 Tablespoons of BnPB. That much more peanut buttery goodness for the same number of calories! Mmm, mmm, good.
I use it all the time. Whether just on the spoon, on a banana, spread on celery, in my smoothies, on a sandwich—I can’t say enough about this stuff!
