Oh my god, food marketing makes me sick! Did you know that if something has "natural cherry flavor," that only means that the drink is sweetened naturally, not artificially? This is why the main fruit "flavor" is often added last on the list, because cranberries or cherries are whatever are not sweetening it-only "natural" fructose or sugar is. Gah. I'm reading Omnivore's Dilemma again and it's making me so paranoid of my food lol.
I didn’t know that! Thanks for the fun fact. The food marketing industry drives me crazy too! And I’ve been meaning to read that book! I’m reading “In Defense of Food” by the same author right now, and it’s amazing if you haven’t read it yet! Also, “Fast Food Nation” by Eric Schlosser. So glad to find someone as interested in this as I am!

Went to the gym today, with the intention of reading more of “In Defense of Food” by Michael Polan (LOVING this book, by the way. Definitely recommend) while on the elliptical. Suffice to say the book wasn’t quite big enough to fit in the little magazine-holder, so I gave up (on the book) after about 2 minutes and switched to an elliptical with a TV. Watched some E! special on snooki…it was interesting. ANYWAYS, the good news is, although I yet again did the elliptical, I varied my workout by trying a new setting—Performance, Hill Climber, and it was challenging! Especially when it got to ramp 10, resistance 13. Ohh man.
Anyways, I did that for 65 minutes and with my 2 minutes from the other machine, that’s 67 minutes total. The most I’ve ever done. And I feel great! Going on a walk with my mom later too, then to a movie!
