FAST FOOD NATION by Eric Schlosser
It’s an eye-opening look at the fast-food culture of America. From the history of fast food to the factories where foods are made to the people it affected—both consumers, and employers. Aside from that, it’s interest and well written. “Food Inc.” is the documentary modeled off of the information in this book, but the documentary actually repeats very little—so watch it and read this.
Also, it might help those of you that have hamburger cravings.
Seriously though, it’s worth it.
If you haven’t read it before (it was published in 2001), now is the time. This is the new edition (I think released in 2005) with updates on some of the things already talked about before.
